Brick Information
Create a lasting tribute at the Virginia Zoo today!

Whether you're honoring a loved one, celebrating a milestone, or showing your support for wildlife conservation, your brick will become a permanent part of the Zoo for guests to enjoy for years to come. They can be placed at either the Front Entrance or in the garden.

Pricing

• Standard Concrete Brick: $250 (4 x 8 x 2 3/8)
  • Accommodates a maximum of 16 characters per line and up to 3 lines of text. 
• Square Concrete Brick: $500 (12 x 12 x 2 3/8)
  • Accommodates a maximum of 16 characters per line and up to 6 lines of text.

Brick Details

• Available in Natural Gray or Red.
• Location is determined by size of brick.
• All bricks are sandblasted for a durable, high-quality engraving.
• All inscriptions will be engraved using Helvetica Black font. 
• All text will be centered unless otherwise stated on order.

Timeline & Communication
Please allow up to four (4) weeks from the time your order is received for engraving, installation, and final placement of your brick. While timelines may vary, the Virginia Zoo will keep you informed throughout the process. If we have questions about your inscription, if installation timing changes, or once your brick has been installed, we will contact you with an update!

Please Note

• Engraving requests are subject to Virginia Zoo approval.
• If an inscription does not meet engraving guidelines or requires modification, a member of the Virginia Zoo team will contact you to discuss revisions before your brick is engraved.
• Brick placement is selected from the available location options offered by the Virginia Zoo. While you may choose your preferred available location, exact placement within that area is determined by the Zoo.
• Recognition is intended for the life of the feature. If a brick ever needs to be relocated, repaired, or replaced due to maintenance, construction, or other operational needs, the Virginia Zoo will make every reasonable effort to notify you using the contact information on file.
